The Brocade M2640 SAN Router, Base Assembly, and SANvergence Manager Standard, has unbeatable flexibility Blended Fabric™: FC, GE, iSCSI and iFCP connectivity on demand. The M2640 supports full fabric, private and public loop FC devices. It contains hardware-based compression to lower WAN bandwidth costs, E_Port for integration into existing FC fabrics, and F_Port for direct connectivity to FC servers and storage. The M2640 is built for large, stable FC fabrics and integrates multi-vendor FC fabrics. It supports active-active router pair, Adaptive Rate Limiting maximizes WAN bandwidth utilization, and Fast Write™ for maximizing throughput and minimizing latency across long distances. The storage-optimizes TCP to mitigate network impairments, Quality of Service (QoS): bandwidth, and management and VLAN tagging.
